Canucks Annual State of the Franchise

On Tuesday June 27th I went to the Vancouver Canucks what’s happening shindig at GM Place.

I loved it!!

Although Dave Nonis didn’t say too much that everybody already knew, it was just fun to check out the trophys, get some info about tickets for next season and feel part of the whole Canucks experience.

I’m glad T.B. is gone. I like what I saw throughout the playoffs - hardly any fighting and a fast paced game. I still miss alot of the goals and am thankful for the replays. I’m learning stuff and enjoy following what the new Canucks are building for next season.

I am really looking forward to next season and watching the Canucks play and for the first time really being interested in the game and what’s going on.

I’ve been to some games in the past (last was during the 2002-2003 season) but have been bored by all the fighting for many, many, many years. I remember a conversation I had a few times with some friends of mine during the early 1990’s. These friends were from Edmonton and although they weren’t necessarily Oilers fans they were hard-core hockey fans and players. Both these guys (they are brothers) told me time and time again that fighting was part of the game and until I played I would never understand.

I have yet to play and thankfully I don’t have to understand anymore because this past playoff season I didn’t see any fighting really.

Cool!!
