Bobs & Lolo: On Your Feet
Yesterday some friends and I along with their 2 and a half year old daughter, Sarah, visited the Vancouver Aquarium to watch the 11:30A performance of my friends, Bobs & Lolo
By the time this day is done they will have performed almost 60 shows in December. These ladies are busy!
The show was great. Lots of kids (young and old) dancing and clapping to their wonderful music. The 11:30A show was similar to the one I had seen on Canada Day. During this holiday season they were performing three shows a day at the VanAqua and their second show would be featuring many different songs.
Turns out Bobs & Lolo had just released a DVD earlier this month called On Your Feet (the title track from their second CD, Musical Adventures).
My friends and I are big fans so naturally we each bought a copy of their new DVD. It is $19.99 at the Vancouver Aquarium gift shop and if you have a membership, which I bought yesterday, you get 20 percent off.
Its 30 minutes long, has 10 songs from both Bobs & Lolo’s 2 CD’s
and
ITS AWESOME!
These two wonderful creatures are the definition of energy. Each music video on the DVD has its own flavour and style. I have both of their CD’s and have listened to each a few times. Their second CD, Musical Adventures, is entirely different musically from their first, Sea Notes, and covers many other outdoor topics. Watching the music videos on the DVD brings even more meaning to their songs! My two favourites from the DVD are Raindrop Pop and Recycle With Me
The messages from Bobs and Lolo are all positive.
I can honestly say that I have paid abit more attention to my use of water as one example of how their message has sunk in as a result of their ability to communicate to adults as well as children.
I can hardly wait to see what these two do next!

The following video clip I took of their show yesterday. The song is Wish for a Fish (included in their Musical Adventures’ album) which Robyn (Bobs) and Lorraine (Lolo) wrote for the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society

Happy New Year everyone!
