If you missed it, you missed a terrific piece of Canadian film making and story telling.

CTV’s Elijah premiered tonight at 8P

Sharp script, funny, sad, serious and uplifting. The commentary throughout Elijah and the way its sometimes presented onscreen reminded me abit of Adrian Raeside, a cartoonist for the Victoria Times Colonist who wrote a book in 1992 featuring his cartoon style:

There Goes the Neighbourhood: An Irreverent History of Canada

Read the review of Elijah by the Montreal Gazette: Aboriginal leader’s life is passionately depicted

Hopefully you’ll get a chance to see it some day regardless of how well you know the story.

Because if it wasn’t for Elijah Harper we wouldn’t be enjoying the Canada we love today.
